THE BEST GIFT I EVER GAVE MYSELF

I had a huge epiphany a few years ago.

I was in the car, driving to the grocery store, daydreaming about all the fun and exciting things I would do one day…

But not until I felt more settled and had reached the next benchmark on my list.

That’s when it hit me.

I’d been saying this same thing to myself for years.

And I never followed through.

That’s the very moment I gave myself the best gift I’d ever received…

I made a conscious decision to get rid of the old mindset that I had to EARN my happiness — and also to let myself ENJOY what I’d already achieved.

Did that mean I wasn’t working toward goals anymore? Nope. Not at all.

It DID mean that I could cut myself a break (even if eventually I wanted to do more).

The strange thing was, once I gave myself that permission, it was EASY to let myself be more settled and happier — and to celebrate the small wins.

I love this quote that says, “Happiness is a choice that requires effort at times.” — Aeschylus

In other words, all it takes is CHOOSING.

So…

What is the ONE INTANGIBLE GIFT that you can CHOOSE to give yourself this holiday — starting right now — that will add the most value to your life?

It might not be the same as mine. But it should be something that makes you feel relaxed, content, and relieved.

How can you make that gift happen? You deserve it!

Make it an amazing day,
